On the road

I attended the Yorkshire and Humberside meeting today (19th June) and am grateful for the warm welcome I received. It was encouraging to see another well attended meeting covering issues that really matter in achieving the day job.

It was well chaired and administered and covered data handling,WARPS, RIEP, tell us once and the operational efficiency. I also spoke on matters relating to the Society including finance, membership development and value, our policy development and influence, commercial activities, communication and consultation, the vital role of Heads of ICT and our relationships with suppliers.

I'm really looking forward to similar discussions with West Midlands and London in July. I have nearly finalised my programme of visits to ensure that I get to all Regions during my year of office although the demands of the day job mean that it will take most of the year to get to each area.
