MPs on the House of Commons Public Accounts Committee slammed Government IT projects for ‘repeating’ basic errors.
It is much the same with the basic message of their reports. Year after year, the same conclusions. You shouldn’t shoot the messenger. It is better to have the finger pointed at what is wrong, even if nothing changes, than for our tax money to be poured down the drain without even cursory scrutiny.
On a different note, Cisco has issued a major patch . That should cause some hard work in IT departments.
Mozilla has fixed some critical Firefox flaws and introduced a Flash-checking security feature.
Microsoft has launched scheme to help 500,000 into work and, of course, we are all rushing out to the Mac store. Apple refreshes iPod line-up, cuts prices, retools iTunes
